Reflexology is a noninvasive, complementary health science, through which the body is encouraged to correct itself thus attaining balance and normalization. This is done through the improvement of blood, nerve and lymphatic supply that is stimulated through applying pressure to the 7,200 nerve endings in each hand or foot. These nerve endings form reflex points that correspond to all of the different parts of the body. Pain in a specific reflex area of the foot indicates that it's corresponding body part needs attention. When the area is worked there is often a reduced amount of pain which invites the body to a deeper level of relaxation.
